Senior/Adult Day Care Services | Business Opportunity
Care Club takes a therapeutic approach in our program by utilizing the services of a Certified Recreational Therapist. Recreational Therapy has the following advantages:
  • Provides treatment services and recreation activities;
  • Utilizes techniques including but not limited to arts, crafts, animals, sports, games, dance and movement, drama etc;
  • Improves the physical, mental and emotional well-being of members;
  • Recovers basic motor functions and reasoning abilities;
  • Builds confidence;
  • Assist with integration by providing information about  community resources.
Our Goal for Our Program is to:
  • Maintain an environment that is flexible enough to invite a member  to engage in a new activity if their needs are not being met.
  • Accommodate members with varied abilities and interest by offering more than one on-going activity at a time
  • Offer activities for a person to do unaccompanied, or in large or small groups to suit the situation.
  • Follow the member's lead and allow them to choose whether or not to join in an activity
  • Acknowledge differences which may affect how members respond: native language, ethnic and cultural background, possible gender differences etc.
The "wellness model" is the focal point for our Recreational Program, according to the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, in adopting the "wellness model" every effort is made in ensuring that members are involved in their care.
